The clock is ticking for book buyers in New Milford! The Friends of the New Milford Public Library have announced that their Annual Summer Book Sale—scheduled for July 11–13 at New Milford High School—will be their last event for at least two years due to upcoming library construction.
This isn’t just another seasonal sale; it’s a final opportunity to grab hundreds of books at bargain prices before a multi-year pause. Here’s what to expect:
- Thursday, July 11: Early Bird Hour (9–10 a.m.) for $5 admission, then free entry from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
- Friday, July 12: Open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Saturday, July 13: Final clearance from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.—all books half price!
From gripping novels and historical nonfiction to kids’ favorites and practical guides, there’s something for every reader. And with no sales planned until the library reopens post-renovation, the Friends’ advice is simple but urgent: “Think ahead and STOCK up!!”
Don’t miss this literary last call—visit before the long break begins:
